Architectural Renovation of a Victorian Townhouse

Lynton Road is a thoughtfully reimagined Victorian townhouse in the heart of Bermondsey, London, where considered architectural design transformed a traditional property into a modern, light-filled home. This project involved a complete renovation and rebuild, including substantial side and rear extensions, increasing the footprint to over 2,000 sq ft.

We restructured the layout to maximise natural light and create a seamless connection between spaces, balancing the character of the original Victorian framework with clean, contemporary architecture. Structural steelwork, natural materials, and a soft, neutral palette were used to bring depth and warmth to the new design, creating a sense of calm and timelessness throughout.

Completed in just six months, the result is a highly functional and elegant family home that feels both refined and effortlessly liveable—true to Studio Rizzo’s architectural ethos of purposeful, human-centred design.
